Learning to play hockey not only teaches sport specific skills, but is a great opportunity for boys and girls to get fit, develop team-working abilities, make friends and most importantly, have lots of fun! 

 

Stepps Kids sessions run from ages 5-12 at Stepps Primary School astroturf pitch in Autumn and Summer terms, and indoors at Chryston High School in Winter and Spring Terms (term dates).  We pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive club, and welcome all kids along to have a go, whether they have played hockey before or or are brand new to the sport.  We have the same regular group of qualified, PVG scheme assessed coaches, working with small groups of kids, so that we can be sure that your kid gets the most out of sessions and the sport.

FAQs

​

1. What kit does my child need for hockey?

We have plenty of sticks and shinguards that can be borrowed, all we ask for is advance notice so we can ensure to bring the right items for your child.  We also recommend they wear a gumshield, suitable sportswear for the weather and a bottle of water.

​

2. Can I just arrive to try out a session?

 Drop us an e-mail to let us know if you want to come along and try.

3. What costs are involved with Stepps Kids Hockey?

We charge £30 a term (each term 8/9 weeks) for 7.00-8.30pm session;

£25 a term for 6.00-7.00pm.
